Quality Standards

The majority of the accommodation featured on VisitSurrey.com has been assessed for its quality and given a star rating by either Quality in Tourism (part of VisitEngland) or the AA. They award from one to five stars to reflect the overall quality of the experience of staying at each property. This gives you more information before you book.  If a property has not been quality assessed, this is noted within the text of each property.

VisitEngland and the AA use the same criteria when carrying out their inspections. Look for the Quality Rose, the symbol that denotes a property has been assessed by Quality in Tourism. The AA logo is easily recognised with its yellow background. As well as the star rating being awarded, it is also possible for properties to be given gold or silver awards to indicate an extra special effort is made at these places.

Guest accommodation refers to bed and breakfasts, inns, farmhouse or guest houses.
