Walton is a vibrant town, situated beside the River Thames in Surrey.

The town centre offers numerous shops and restaurants to sample.  The Heart is an exciting brand new retail and residential complex, which combines top high street fashion with delicious, alfresco dining.

Pleasant riverside walks can be taken at Cowey Sale while the marina offers boat sales and river trips.  The new Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Complex boasts a range of sports facilities including swimming pools, health and fitness suite, climbing wall, squash and badminton courts, aerobic studios, children's multi-storey indoor play area and indoor bowls hall.

Cecil Hepworth, a pioneer of the British film industry, made silent films in Walton from 1899 until 1924. The site was taken over by Nettlefold Studios in 1926 and was used for the production of television series such as ‘The Adventures of Robin Hood’ starring Richard Greene, outside filming for which took place at Ashley Park.

The arts are still present in Walton.  See a film at the Walton Screen Cinema, and enjoy music, art and theatre at Riverhouse Arts Centre in Manor Road, close to the river. Walton is also the venue for the annual Elmbridge Fashion Show.
