LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans) History Month

LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans) History Month

Type: Exhibition

7 Feb- 3 March 2012

LGBT History Month celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community. This is an opportunity to learn more about the history of Surrey's LGBT past, present and future.

This year’s display will feature the finale of the Out, Loud and Proud group’s project ‘LGBT on Tour', which focuses on the impact of World War II and the holocaust on the LGBT community in Europe. Come and see what they discovered! Throughout 2012 Surrey Heritage will be celebrating the lives of Surrey Heroes and for LGBT History Month you can learn more about Surrey's Gay ‘heroes’ from Sir John Gieulgud to Sir Terence Rattigan.
