Men's Olympic Cycling Road Race

The 250 km (155 mile) Olympic Road Race will start and finish on The Mall in central London. The riders will race around a course that passes through six London boroughs before heading into Surrey and through or near towns, including Walton, Weybridge, Byfleet, West Byfleet, Pyrford, Ripley, West Horseley, Gomshall, Dorking, Leatherhead, Oxshott, Esher, East and West Molesey before riders return to Central London for the finish.

In order to secure the race route, there will be road closures. The closures are expected to take place for a minimum of two hours before the race passes through, however there will be areas on the route where vehicles and pedestrians will be able to cross up to thrity minutes before.
