Vineyards, Breweries and Distilleries in Surrey

GOOD NEWS - You will find plenty of ways to get hold of Surrey's tipples.  Our pubs, restaurants and shops generally all stock our local wine, beer and gin!

Champagne-like chalk soils, sheltered Surrey Hills countryside and, in a good year, plenty of sunshine have helped Surrey vineyards to lead the way in English wines.  Surrey's vineyards are rapidly making our county a capital of wine production in Britain.

Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, is England’s largest vineyard and situated amongst the lush green hills of the North Downs.

Enjoy wine tasting or vineyard tour at Albury Vineyard.  This award-winning vineyard, located next to the Silent Pool beauty spot is a small family-owned organic vineyard.

Greyfriars Vineyard, situated on the south facing chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back, is just a few miles to the west of Guildford. They offer informative tours and tastings.

Enjoy extraordinary views, delight in the tour, talk and tasting at High Clandon EstateVineyard.  High Clandon Estate Vineyard specialises in singular, matured-vintage-only English sparkling Cuvées for which they are renowned for Gold Medal awards.

Treats for the winter: High Clandon will run bespoke Tour, Talk Tasting in their atmospheric Glass Barn (and weather permitting including a walk to the vineyard in its winter finery. Wessex Distillery near Godalming provides an enjoyable, immersive, gin-filled day out.  The Wessex Distillery experience days are suitable for beginners and gin enthusiasts.
