Surrey offers a wide range of galleries, both modern and traditional and even an outdoor sculpture park set in mature woodland. Here are just a few ideas for an inspiring day.
Morning

Lunch
Grayshott Pottery near Farnham (free entry), offers a studio gallery, an extensive gift and home-ware shop (around 4,000 sq ft) and also a cosy café and patio area, where you can linger over lunch.
Afternoon
The pretty market town of Farnham, home of the University of Creative Arts, offers art lovers a concentration of galleries, the Crafts Study Centre (free entry) and the New Ashgate Gallery (free entry) within walking distance.
Just 15 minutes drive from Farnham, immerse yourself in sculpture at the Sculpture Park, (£6 entry and a visit usually takes 1.5-3 hours) with over 200 sculptures along a one and a half mile trail throughout ten acres of arboretum and wildlife inhabited water gardens.
