The Electric Theatre
Every Saturday morning The Electric Theatre features ‘Sparkles Dance’, a drop in Saturday morning class for children aged 4-8. The class is an introduction to the fundamentals of dance using music, rhythm and creative movement.

On leaving the theatre head up The High Street towards Tunsgate Shopping Centre.

The Continental Café
The Continental Café located in Tunsgate shopping centre offers a great family friendly venue for lunch. A children’s menu and toilet and baby changing facilities are available on the premises.

Castle Grounds
Alternatively why not enjoy a picnic in the Castle Grounds. The Castle Grounds offer a great place for a picnic lunch, and you are also free to explore the grounds. The grounds are free to enter and are open all year round. It is also possible to explore the Castle for a small charge.

The Great Tower of the castle offers rooftop viewpoint offering 360 degree panoramic views across Guildford town centre and the countryside beyond!

Boathouse Boat Trip
After lunch what better way to spend an afternoon in the sun than on the river? An excursion of an hour or two aboard the ‘Harry Stevens’ transports you almost magically from the busy town straight into picturesque rural Surrey.

Yvonne Arnaud Theatre
Alternatively you could also enjoy an afternoon family show in the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre offers a variety of family shows throughout the year. Travelling back into the town centre it is worth exploring some of the side streets off the High Street to discover some hidden gems!

Sweets – Chapel Street
What better way to keep the kids happy than to take them to a traditional English Sweetshop, which is sure to make your mouth water too! Sweets is a traditional, family run sweetshop specialising in old fashioned sweets and a wide range of Belgian chocolates.

The Bear Garden – Jeffries Passage
It is also worth visiting the The Bear Garden located in Jeffries Passage off. The Bear Garden was established in 1992 and is one of the UK’s leading teddy bear shops! The shop does not just stock bears! There is also a huge range of animals and dolls, as well as famous characters like Paddington, Snoopy, Rupert Bear and many more!

If the kids need some time away from their parents why not drop them off at the Games Workshop, located in Tunsgate? The Games Workshop offers gaming, painting and modelling for those experienced in the hobby. For £20, pre-teens are welcome into the store for approximately 2 hours. The Ghost Tour
