Fun for the Under 5’s in Guildford

If visiting Guildford on a Saturday the ‘Little Sparks’ theatre show is not to be missed. Little
Sparks is a show for the under 5s featuring music, games, songs, stories and puppets. If you
arrive early to the theatre enjoy a morning coffee at the theatre’s Café Bar and Riverside
Terrace open from 10am.
Opening times - Every Saturday at 11am (please note there will be no Little Sparks on 16 Oct
& 23 Oct. The last Little Sparks in on 18 Dec)
Admission - £4 children (Adults and babes in arms go free)

Alternatively it is worth checking the website out for details of the latest child-friendly

You will also find things to make and do for the under 5’s at Guildford House Gallery which
others both an art cart and book corner and art cart, full of drawing materials. Look out for
regular workshops and activities during school holidays, including competitions and quizzes.
You are also free to browse the art gallery and exhibitions, but please note that children
under 10 years old must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult at all times.
The gallery also offers a traditional English Tea Room perfect for a light refreshment or lunch.

On leaving the gallery head down the High Street towards the River to Tunsgate Shopping
Centre.


The Continental Café
For lunch the Continental Café located in Tunsgate shopping centre offers a popular and
spacious family friendly venue. A children’s menu and toilet and baby changing facilities are
available on the premises.

Tunsgate Shopping Centre
The shopping centre also offers a safe environment for some light shopping. Tunsgate
houses 25 high quality stores in ladies fashion, menswear, homeware, crafts, gifts and home
entertainment all under cover in a spacious and cheerful environment – ideal in all weathers.


Castle Grounds
After lunch why not let the children burn off their energy running around the castle grounds,
while you are free to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the gardens. The grounds are free to
the public and open all year round.
