Surrey has a wide variety of things to do and places to visit, what-ever your interest and for however long your visit.
Perhaps you only have half a day in Surrey? You may be travelling through or visiting on business. So what is there to do in half a day? You can go for a walk up the famous Box Hill, or have afternoon tea after exploring Polesden Lacey. In the warm summer months take a swim in the outdoor Lido at Guildford, of if its just an evening then perhaps the theatre.
For a one day visit, you can easily fit in a two centre day, perhaps a town for some shopping followed by a stroll and explore around a garden. We also know its England and the weather doesn’t always go to plan so we’ve provided both a rainy day itinerary and a sunny day itinerary as well. There is also a driving itinerary to allow you to see the Surrey Hills. The itinerary takes you on approximately 40 miles through the Surrey Hills allowing you to see some of the views, pretty villages and flora across the county. For some of the view points you may have to put your boots on and leave the car, but a near-by village pub will always be the reward at the end.
Our 5 itineraries provide some ideas and inspiration for visiting Surrey. All itineraries are based on the assumption that visitors have access to a car or vehicle.
Why not use the ITINERARY PLANNER tool (found at the top of each page) and build your own favourite day out. The itinerary planner tool enables you to select any number of tourism products or attractions and add them to a 'virtual' itinerary.
This itinerary can be viewed at any point as you browses around our website and shows the locations of each establishment plotted directly onto a dynamic map. The itinerary includes summaries of the included attractions as well as providing road directions and distances so that you can get an idea of how far each location is from one another. Go ahead, give it a try.
