Woking will host the final round of the The Tour Series 2010 on Thursday 24 June, leaving just six months until the centre of the Surrey town will once again be transformed into the centrepiece of a cycling festival.
The elite Tour Series race, featuring many of Britain’s top cycling teams, will get underway at 7pm, and all of the action will be captured by a major TV broadcaster. There will also be cycle races for schools and businesses and cycle demonstrations throughout the afternoon, giving the whole community the chance to get involved. With the likes of Olympic hero Bradley Wiggins inspired in the past by watching town and city centre cycling, The Tour Series hopes that the same effect can be recreated here in Woking.
