Stansted Mountfitchet Windmill

Stansted Mountfitchet Windmill is a fine example of a brick towermill built in 1787. Ceased working in 1910. Given in trust to the village of Stansted by Lord Blyth in 1935. Scheduled ancient monument contains almost complete original machinery. Stansted Millers Voluntary Group act as stewards on open days and run fund raising events. Also give guided tours to schools and groups.
