Polesden Lacey was originally a Regency villa which was remodelled after 1906 by the Honourable Mrs Ronnie Greville, a well-known Edwardian hostess. Polesden Lacey is situated high on the North Downs among fine trees and has views to Ranmore Common. It has collections of paintings, porcelain, tapestries, furniture and contemporary photographs. The extensive grounds host open-air theatre and other summer events and there is also a walled rose garden and landscape walks.
