The Borough of Woking offers a sparkling mix of entertainment, convenient shopping, relaxing countryside and special town centre events throughout the year. Woking has excellent transport links by road and rail, and visitors will find the pedestrianised centre easy to get around.

Woking’s markets offer a wide variety of produce to suit all purses. A general market can be found in Market Square six days a week and seasonal markets regularly take place in Town Square - including French, Italian, and craft and gift fairs - alongside the popular monthly farmers’ market.

Woking has some of Surrey’s most treasured countryside on the doorstep and many of Woking’s heaths and common lands are sites of special scientific interest (SSSI’s). The Basingstoke Canal is just a few minutes’ walk from Town Square and widely regarded as the richest waterway in England for wildlife. The Wey Navigations to the east of the Borough also offer angling, boating and canoeing opportunities year round.
