Surrey has a comprehensive road network, which is busiest from 8am until 9.30am and from 4.30pm until 6.30pm. Leisure travellers should try to avoid these peak commuter times. Local radio stations, such as BBC Southern Counties Radio (104.6 and 104.0 FM) regularly give travel updates.
Surrey is situated between Heathrow and Gatwick international airports, both operated by British Airports Authority.
There are also a number of private airports in and around Surrey, which are suitable for light aircraft and helicopters.
