Chatley Heath Semaphore Tower

Chatley Heath Tower. The only surviving semaphore station.

This unique and fascinating Grade II* Listed semaphore tower has a working semaphore mast, hands-on working semaphore models and displays on the history of overland naval communications in the early 19thC. It stands amongst woods and heathland and offers magnificent views from the rooftop platform telescopes and well-marked trails.
