Epsom Downs Racecourse is one of England’s premier racecourses located near Epsom, Surrey. The course is best known for the world renowned Epsom Derby, the Epsom Oaks, and the Coronation Cup. Epsom Downs houses the third largest racehorse training facility in the country.

Investec Derby Festival
The Investec Derby Festival, is the pinnacle of the sporting and social calendars, returning this year on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 June, 2012 and boasting the first official event of HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Festival will kick off as it usually does with Ladies Day on the Friday, where the stakes are high both on the fashion front and on the track.
The Investec Derby itself attracts the UK’s largest sporting crowd. More than 100,000 people flock to watch the great race, which is worth £1.25 million in prize money. The Queen has a long history with Epsom Downs Racecourse, as she attended the Derby in 1952, three days after she was crowned Queen.
