Grayshott Pottery is one of the last working potteries in the South of England. All of our Studio Art Ceramics are designed and handmade on the premises, using traditional materials and techniques, combined with the latest technology.
You can see our skilled potters at work, browse our large and well-stocked Emporium, explore our exclusive Gallery and enjoy refreshments in our popular Kiln Café. A relaxing, educational and inspiring day out for all ages.
Our Emporium is a destination in its own right – a treasure trove of beautiful items from the practical to the purely decorative. You can buy original Grayshott Pottery ceramics from individual mugs, lamps and collectible plates to cookware. We also stock a huge range of gifts including jewellery, handbags, candles, cushions, cards, children’s toys and seasonal items.
Studio Art Ceramics Gallery
The Gallery provides a showcase for our team’s remarkable design and craft skills. Here you can admire their latest creations and bespoke designs, all hand-painted and individually stamped and signed by the artist, on tableware, one-off specials and limited editions.
Our popular Kiln Café, set in the heart of the Grayshott Pottery building is a favourite with visitors and local resident alike. You can enjoy a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, salads, bakes potatoes, paninis, all-day breakfasts and daily hot lunch specials, all served on our own Grayshott Pottery tableware. A variety of gluten free foods are available on the menu every day, but please telephone if you have any special dietary requirements. You can choose to stay inside and watch our pottery team at work in the studio next door, - or sit out on the covered patio area, which is open all year round.
See Behind the Scenes
If you’ve ever wondered how a lump of clay is transformed into beautiful ceramic objects, now’s your chance to find out! On our exclusive ‘Journey of the Clay’ tour, you’ll follow the raw material through moulding, firing, hand decorating and glazing to the finished item.
Tours last around 20 minutes usually every weekday at 11.00am and 2.30pm, and must be booked in advance.
At Grayshott Pottery you don’t have to be a mere spectator. Throughout the year we run ‘have-a-go’ sessions, where you can get hands-on with the materials and tools of our trade.
