Breweries and Vineyards

Surrey was once one of the main hops growing counties in the country. Hop growing was major business and led to the growth of towns in Surrey such as Farnham in the late 1890's. Visit the Hogs Back Brewery in Tongham or the Rural Life Centre in Tilford to discover harvesting techniques. The Maltings, an arts venue, was once the Farnham United Breweries.

Visit a vineyard and discover how grapes are grown and English wine is produced.  Enjoy the pleasure of sampling some wine at Denbies and buy the  award-winning wine, Chalk Ridge Rose.
