Surrey History Centre is so much more than a county record office and local studies centre. With six miles of shelving and millions of manuscripts dating back to the middle ages, we can help you trace your Surrey ancestors and guide you through our amazing collections of records.

Our team of expert genealogists can advise on subjects ranging from early handwriting, military history, tracing house history, and identifying photographs to advising on conserving records and how to use the internet for family history.

Visit us to explore our rich collections of early maps and watercolours to discover Surrey’s extraordinary past.
