Family Fun in Guildford

With so much to see and do in and around Guildford, it’s no surprise that this area is a popular destination amongst families. Whatever the weather or your budget, Guildford has something to keep all members of the family entertained.

Outdoor Adventures

From zipping through the trees at Wildwood to taking a river boat trip from Dapdune Wharf or clambering on the natural play area at Hatchlands Park (East Clandon) there are many outdoor adventures to be had. There’s nothing better than spending a sunny day making a splash at Guildford Lido!

Indoor Entertainment

Immerse yourselves in history and discover worlds gone by at The Spike Heritage Centre or Shalford Mill or catch a family show at G Live or the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. Fun family trails can be enjoyed at Guildford Cathedral and Watts Gallery Artists’ Village and with ice skating, swimming, bowling and soft play at Guildford Spectrum, you’ll struggle to fit everything in!

Fun for Free

A pleasurable day out on a budget can be spent discovering the history of Guildford at Guildford Museum. Alternatively, grab a ball, pick up your skateboard, pack a picnic and enjoy a day at the paddling pool or play area at Stoke Park. Located in the Town Centre, Westnye Gardens Play Area is a beautiful walled play garden for younger children and all the family will enjoy following the industrial history trail along the stream to find the hidden ruins of Chilworth Gunpowder Mills (Chilworth).
