The use of this website is subject to the following terms and conditions.  The terms and conditions notify how we operate the website.  Your continued use of the website indicates your agreement with these Terms and Conditions.  We reserve the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time.  It is your responsibility to review the Terms & Conditions.  By viewing the website after a change to the Terms & Conditions signifies your agreement with the changes.

VS aims to ensure that the website is available for use 24/7.  VS aims to ensure that all information on the website is accurate and up to date at time of publishing.  Most material on the website is provided by third parties and as such VS cannot guarantee the accuracy of this material, and disclaims and responsibility for error or inaccuracy, misinterpretation.

Intellectual Property & Copyright
All content on VS.com is the property of VS including trademarks and names.  By using the website you will not copy, download, or print any part, unless given specific permission to do so, or are using an area of the site which gives permission for downloads or are using the information for your sole personal viewing.  You will not use the information to be sold, or displayed to the benefit of yourself or a company or organisation you may work for.

Liability
VS shall not be liable for any damages arising in contract, tort or otherwise from the use of or inability to use this site, or any material contained in it, or from any action or decision taken as a result of using this site or any of its contents.  VS will not be liable for any direct or indirect damages including loss of business, revenue or profits in relation to you using the website.

Disclaimer
We aim to provide the latest and most up to date information on the website, and take all reasonable steps to do so, but due to the large amount of data, much of which is being supplied by third parties, should not be wholly relied upon when making a decision.  The content on the website is for guidance and information only.  VS suggests that the information given should be used along-side other information sources for decision making.  The information provided is given on an “as is “ basis with no warranties expressed or implied.
We aim to have the website available 24/7 however VS cannot guarantee 100% availability at all times.  VS is not liable if for any reason the website is not available at any time.

By using the website and providing us with any details about yourself you agree to us processing and storing your information.

Request Forms
All reasonable steps are taken to safeguard the information you provide us.  However we cannot guarantee any of the information you disclose on-line.  There are obvious implications of completing forms on the internet and you will not hold us responsible for any breach of security or disclosure of information unless we are proven to be negligent.
Where you have consented, VS may send you in the future information either by email or by post about tourism in Surrey.  With any future mailings which you may receive after receiving your initial brochure request, you may opt out of at any time and your data will be deleted from VS records.
Under the Data Protection Act you can see the data held about you.  If you wish to see the data we collect from you this is available.  A small charge of £10 will be made.  If you wish to update us that your information has changed or you would like to be removed from our databases please contact us.

Cookies
To help with your navigation and fraud prevention we send ‘cookies’ from VS.com to your computer.  Cookies are used by all websites and enable them to work more efficiently. Cookies look at how you have used the website and the pages and products you have viewed.  They do not ask or collect personal information about you.   For example cookies keep track of your information and help to identify areas that you are interested in and help with future visits to the website.   Cookies do not obtain personal information about you, just how you use our website.
All websites now must offer an opt out facility on their websites for cookies.  You can opt out of cookies on the VS website from the message which appears at the very top of the website.  If you decide to opt out of cookies you may not be able to access all aspects of the website.  By continuing to use the website you agree to the cookie policy.

-If any of these terms should be deemed illegal or invalid or un-enforceable, they will be deleted from the clause concerned and the remaining conditions will continue to be in force and effective.
-We reserve the right to amend any of our terms and conditions at any time.
-You may use the Contact Us only to send messages pertaining to tourism in Surrey.  We will not accept any contact which is abuse, harassment, inflammatory, obscene or unlawful.
-Advertising or sponsorship on the site does not represent recommendation or endorsement by VS.  We are not responsible for any inaccuracy which occurs on advertising or sponsorship messages.
-VS.com does not provide a complete and equal overview of tourism in Surrey.  As an independent commercial company the website works with businesses and events that pay to be part of the site.  As a non-funded organisation VS therefore is not obliged to give equal promotion to any one town, borough, or business on the website.

For Businesses – free promotion on VS.com and paid for promotion on VS.com
VS gives all tourism businesses in Surrey a free of charge a basic entry on VS.com.  This gives all tourism businesses across Surrey a basic level of promotion.  If businesses wish not to appear on the site then VS will remove them from VS.com upon receiving written confirmation from the business to do so.

Businesses can enhance and upgrade their basic entry as they wish in accordance with the upgrade opportunities outlined each year with the VS.com rate card.  These enhancements and upgrades are commercial and in receipt of payment.

The following terms and conditions are noted on the annual VS.com rate-card/ booking form, and are agreed to automatically by businesses when they upgrade and enhance their basic entry:

-All prices are for a year and the year mentioned on the rate-card, all prices noted exclude VAT.
-The new website will be live from early February 2016 onwards.  All bookings for all opportunities, except Classic entries, will therefore be live from the go live date of the new website, they will not feature on our current (old) site.  Most features of Classic entries exist on the current site.  Therefore, Classic entries will be renewed, or new ones uploaded on the current (old) site, and then switched to the fully functioning new site in February 2016.
-We will promote both quality graded and non-quality graded accommodation.
-Large businesses are by definition; all attractions, hotels, conference centres, large chain restaurants and pubs, accommodation providers who are not small.
-Small business are by definition; pubs, cafes and restaurants with an annual turnover of less than £300,000, campsites with less than 50 pitches, and self-catering with less than 8 units.  A B&B/Guest accommodation is a property with 5 rooms or less.
-By signing this form you are agreeing to Visit Surrey publishing your business details on the VS.com website.
-Copyright: All bookings for all opportunities are taken with the confirmation that you as the business own or are the licence holder for the images, text and logos supplied to Visit Surrey, and that you give permission for them to be used by Visit Surrey.  We cannot accept any images, logos or text that you do not have permission to use. You confirm that you are the copyright owner of any images supplied, or that you have written permission of the copyright owner for them to appear in Visitsurrey.com and other promotional material.
-Visit Surrey will make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy but will not accept liability of any kind arising from, or in connection with, the use or publication of the information as a result of any error or omission.
-All data that you provide us will be shared by our partner, Arrivals Guide.  Arrivals Guide are electronic destination guides on airlines flying around the world.

For all payments, our terms of payment are 28 days from date of invoice.
