Runnymede Explored - app trail
Runnymede Explored is a new app recently created by Royal Holloway University London. The app allows visitors to explore the historic Runnymede site, discovering the history of the site, details of Magna Carta, as well as the natural beauty and wildlife of the area.
It is now available to download on the Apple and Android app stores: search Runnymede Explored to download now for FREE and unlock the fascinating world of Magna Carta.
Created by 19 Royal Holloway students from across various academic departments, this fascinating new app features seven trails and a field guide to exploring paths around the Runnymede site. It includes a Children's Trail, a History Trail, an Ecology Trail and much more.
Visitors to the area will be equipped with new ways of exploring Runnymede Meadows, Ankerwycke, the Airforces memorial and the town of Egham.
The main site of Runnymede is owned and managed by The National Trust. The area is free to visit but the National Trust car park is pay and display. There is also a small tea room on site.
