Quietude at New Ashgate Gallery

Esther's new collection of paintings, 'Quietude', is inspired by the places she finds solitude and peace. From sunrise walks to more bracing strolls along West Wittering beach, Esther takes many photos and time lapse's, tracing the suns movement and in turn, the dancing light on both foliage and water. Esther has captured the tonic of retreating to reset, a vital part of maintaining contentment and gratitude.

Part of Esther's joy of painting is the process of waiting, sometimes for hours with her camera in hand, to capture the movement of clouds and water, as the sun sets over the sea. Inevitably there is a BBQ involved and always a flask of tea.
