Set at the heart of Dorking’s famed High Street, amidst the rolling Hills of the North Downs and Surrey’s world-famous Denbies Vineyard and Estate, The White Horse has been restored to its former Dickensian glory as one of England’s most storied coaching inns.

Having undergone a substantial £4 million refurbishment since shutting its doors in July 2017, improvements have been made across all 56 bedrooms, throughout the public spaces, as well as to the restaurant and bar, which has seen a profound transformation to both its menu and décor.

The 56 bedrooms have seen timeless details added throughout, alongside duck down and feather duvets, as well as non-allergenic pillows. A selection of cosy, comfy and spacious rooms are available. Accessible and dog friendly rooms available.

Befitting its rich history and lively tradition, The White Horse features extensive dining facilities, alongside a delicatessen and refurbished bar, serving local ales and an outstanding selection of regional wines. Known as “The Dozen”, this versatile destination restaurant boasts capacity for up to 100 diners and serves a menu of both traditional British and Modern European cuisine.

The White Horse will feature versatile and intimate meeting space, ideal for private gatherings, parties, or business functions. Known as “1812”, the space is suitable for up to 30 delegates, or 20 in boardroom style, and features a large flat screen TV alongside the latest audiovisual equipment.

Breakfast is served from 07.00-10.00 during the week and 07.30 – 10.30 at weekends
