A Christmas Masquerade at Polesden Lacey
November 23, 2024 to January 5, 2025
Celebrate Christmas in style at Polesden Lacey with family and friends. The extravagant house at Polesden Lacey is elaborately dressed for a Christmas masquerade ball, inspired by Mrs Greville's attendance at the famous Devonshire House Ball in 1897. See the 20ft Christmas tree in the Grand Hall and enjoy immersive scenes through the house. Outside, ride on a vintage hand-carved carousel and take part in Grizwald the Griffin’s festive trail for families, filled with magic and wonder.
Shaun the Sheep™- Find the Flock at Winkworth Arboretum
November 23, 2024 to January 19, 2025
Get ready for a baa-rilliant winter adventure at Winkworth Arboretum this festive season. The National Trust has teamed up with Wild In Art, to bring Aardman’s mischievous Shaun the Sheep™ to life with a Christmas trail around the arboretum. Find twelve super-sized Shaun sculptures, each uniquely designed and decorated by talented artists and inspired by beautiful English Landscape. With fun games, carousel rides, engaging activities and delicious winter treats from the tearoom, a visit to Winkworth Arboretum this Christmas will be an unforgettable day out for all ages.
Christmas at Hatchlands Park
December 1 to 31
Christmas at Hatchlands this year is inspired by the Christmas carol: I Saw Three Ships. As you wander through the house, you’ll see the showrooms dressed beautifully for a country house Christmas, where 18th century seafaring Admiral Boscawen was the first resident. Enjoy a nautical themed family trail in the garden and book ahead to see Father Christmas.
Countdown to Christmas at Claremont Landscape Garden
December 7 to January 5
Always popular over the Christmas period for winter walks with family and friends, Claremont is turning up the festive charm with a Countdown to Christmas trail celebrating things we love about this special time of year. Find Christmassy installations around the garden, help decorate a tree and gather your tribe for a festive selfie in our giant Christmas card.
