Family Fun in Surrey

For anyone with kids you appreciate that planning a family activity is a balancing act.  You want to make sure that the children are happy and the adults are entertained too.  Surrey was made for family fun, come rain or shine, we have some great family friendly things to do here in Surrey.

From thrill seekers and adrenaline hunters to nature lovers, time travellers, arts and sports fanatics, Surrey has plenty to keep every member of your family entertained. 

Outdoor Fun

Your little ones can let of steam and enjoy the trails and discover the Gruffalo Sculptures at Alice Holt, you can hire bikes here too.  You can almost believe fairies exist when you visit Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden or visit and explore Painshill's 18th century landscaped gardens where you can explore its winding paths, woodlands, lakes and follies.  

Book at water sports teaching session at Aqua Sports Their dedicated, friendly team of instructors just love being out on the water teaching dinghy sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing to children and adults. 

Farms visits are always a popular choice.  At Godstone Farm kids can enjoy the huge adventure playground, soft play, sandpits or Dino trail and at Bocketts Farm as well as meeting all the farm animals visitors will be able to enjoy the bounce space, sandpits and go-karts.  Small kids will love feed the Guinea pigs and chickens at Elm Farm.  Trek with llamas across open countryside on an organised walk, meet rare and beautiful birds at Birdworld, enjoy an animal encounter at Merrist Wood or learn more about our native wildlife at The British Wildlife Centre.

The National Trust in Surrey offers an amazing variety of landscapes and places for all the family to explore and enjoy.

Indoor Fun

Step back in time to discover the county's historic landmarks and enjoy days out fit for a king at Hampton Court Palace.  Then take it up a gear with a visit to Brooklands Museum to discover the part that Surrey played in the birthplace of British motorsport. Children of all ages can learn, explore and be amazed at the massive display of cars and aircraft at Brooklands -  you can even board a Concorde!

Inspire your budding artists with a visit to the Lightbox where under 18's have free entry to all exhibitions or  enjoy a day of activity and culture at Watt's Gallery where you can explore the galleries and/or play games on the lawn.

Teenagers

Keeping fussy teenagers entertained can be hard work but we've some great activities here in Surrey that most teens will love. Swing from the treetops with high fun adventure at Go Ape in Alice Holt or Skywalk Adventure near Esher, climb swim or bowl and ice-skate at Guildford Spectrum.    Paintballing at Campaign Paintball and Laser Park in Cobham makes an exciting day out or the enjoy the exhilaration of jumping through the air at Airhop Trampoline Park  or for a thrilling adventures with unforgettable moments visit the escape rooms at Paradox Parlours.
