What's on in Guildford

Guildford boasts a vibrant and diverse cultural scene, with outstanding venues offering top-quality entertainment all year round, from theatre and dance performances to exhibitions and talks. Music lovers are spoiled for choice, with everything from classical recitals and jazz ensembles to folk singers and pop bands. Whatever the season, there’s always something exciting happening in Guildford,  from January through to the festive celebrations in December.

A variety of free events throughout the year cater to all ages, combining fun, learning, and community spirit. Highlights include Guildford’s Green Day, Guildford WalkFest,  Heritage Open Days and the Festive Family Fun Day.

Guildford’s charming cobbled (technically setts!) High Street also comes alive year-round with regular markets. The monthly Farmers’ Market takes place on the first Tuesday of every month, alongside other themed markets celebrating vintage finds, crafts, and food & drink. Visit our Markets in Guildford page for more details.
