Surrey Day 2026 - the annual celebration of all that is great about our county, Surrey Day is set to return for the eighth year on Saturday May 9. This year’s themes will be Going Underground and Hidden Treasures. Find out how to get involved with Surrey Day, here.
Major Anniversaries
- Concorde Celebrations - Brooklands Museum will mark the 50th Anniversary of Concorde’s legendary first commercial flight with an unforgettable evening of glamour, history and aviation magic on Wednesday January 21.
- Award-winning shows - Guildford Shakespeare Company is celebrating the start of its 20th anniversary year with their adaption of David Copperfield, fresh from a sold-out run in London, this February.
- World-class music - also celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Menuhin Hall near Cobham offers an outstanding programme of live classical music concerts to rival any London concert hall (but with cheaper tickets!).
- 100th anniversary of first British Grand Prix - Brooklands Museum in Weybridge was the site of the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit, which opened in 1907. This year they are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first British Grand Prix, which took place at Brooklands.

New for 2026
- Last Night For Ever at Winkworth - Head down to the Boathouse at Winkworth Arboretum from Saturday January 10 to Tuesday March 17 to see Last Night For Ever, a touring sculpture by artist and curator Andrea Gregson.
- Silent Pool Gin & Sorrel Dining Experience - Silent Pool Gin has teamed up with the Michelin starred restaurant, Sorrel, for an unforgettable couple of dinning experience nights in Dorking on Wednesday February 25 and Thursday February 26.
- Tulips at Wisley – Gardening teams at RHS Garden Wisley have planted more than 100,000 tulip bulbs in preparation for a breath-taking burst of spring colour in 2026. Lovers of the elegant flowers can also visit the Tulip Festival at Hampton Court Palace in April.
- Winkworth Arboretum - This spring, the National Trust's Winkworth Arboretum will launch its long-awaited new visitor facilities, including a brand-new car park with EV charging points, a café with indoor and outdoor seating, a National Trust shop and more.
- The Fox dining rooms - Foxhills Country Club & Resort will be relaunching its main restaurant, The Fox dining rooms, with an exciting new concept in April 2026
- PAW Patrol Land - Chessington World of Adventures Resort is launching the UK's first PAW Patrol-themed land, featuring rides, play areas and themed rooms, this spring.
- Living History - West Horsley Place has announced four living history festival weekends in 2026 - Regency Revels (18 & 19 April), Hosting Henry VIII (25 & 26 July), Saxon Saga (24 & 25 October) and Crewe's Christmas (28 & 29 November).
- Eric Clapton in Guildford (sold out) - G Live will be hosting An Evening With Eric Clapton on Monday April 20 and Tuesday April 21. This limited run of two shows is a once in a lifetime opportunity for audiences to see the guitar legend perform in a smaller, more intimate venue.
- Henry Moore at Kew - From May, Kew Gardens will welcome a once-in-a-generation presentation of artworks by Henry Moore, one of the most influential and internationally recognised artists of the 20th century.

Food & Drink
- Take a wine flight – from Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking to Greyfriars Vineyard near Guildford, explore the Surrey Hills wine route and discover the English wine success story. Soloms Court will be releasing their first wine this spring, which means you’ll be able to try wines from all seven of the Vineyards of the Surrey Hills for the first time.
- Experience a Michelin star meal – take a culinary journey at Pennyhill Park’s Latymer restaurant or Great Fosters’ The Tudor Pass. You’ll also find lots of enticing Surrey food and drink options here.
- Afternoon tea – with so many beautiful country hotels in Surrey, it’s no surprise that there are plenty of places to enjoy a top-notch afternoon tea (often with a seasonal theme).
- Dive into gin - Silent Pool Distillery is a popular destination with award winning distillery tours each weekend and gin-based experiences.
- Get a taste for Surrey beer - with the likes of Dorking Brewery and Hogs Back Brewery, Surrey brewing is in great shape with plenty of award-winning craft beers and real ales to try.

- Tudor Tunes - Hampton Court Palace Festival welcomes another exciting line-up of open air live entertainment in the spectacular Tudor courtyard this June.

- Spinning Around – one of the highlights of the cycling calendar in Surrey, the Guildford Town Centre Cycle Races in July sees competitors tackle the cobbled High Street at high speeds.
