About
Unforgettable performances on your doorstep - The Menuhin Hall is Surrey's venue for classical music concerts.
With its award-winning design and excellent acoustic, The Menuhin Hall is a renowned venue offering an outstanding programme of live classical music concerts to rival any London concert hall (but with cheaper tickets!). Simply leave your car in our spacious car park and enjoy world-class performances without the need to travel into London.
Nestled in the beautiful grounds of The Yehudi Menuhin School in Stoke D’Abernon, near Cobham, Surrey, this exquisite concert hall offers a year-round programme of solo recitals and chamber ensemble performances featuring music by Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert, Brahms, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky and many more great composers.
The Hall regularly welcomes well-known names in classical music such as Stephen Isserlis, Iestyn Davies, Stephen Hough, Maxim Rysanov, Gary Hoffman, Angela Hewitt, the Modigliani and Belcea Quartets, and London Concertante. In addition, there are regular jazz and cabaret events as well as films with live music. The Hall also offers families a series of interactive concerts that introduce children to live classical music in a fun and engaging way.
Integral to the programme are Showcase concerts performed by The Yehudi Menuhin School’s extraordinarily talented pupils, who come from all corners of the globe to study here. After years of dedication, mastering technique and perfecting the nuances of interpretation, this is when these young musicians can finally wow audiences with performances worthy of any professional concert hall. World-renowned alumni of The School include violinists Tasmin Little, Nicola Benedetti and Alina Ibragimova, cellists Colin Carr and Paul Watkins and pianists Melvyn Tan, Kathryn Stott, Charles Owen and Paul Coker. So, when it comes to the household names of classical music, this is your chance to hear them here first.
The Hall is also available to hire and is a popular venue for performances by local amateur music groups, for charity events as well as for talks, lectures and study days.
Situated just off the A3, it is easily reached by car from nearby Leatherhead, Ashtead, Esher, Woking, Weybridge, Dorking, Walton-on-Thames and Kingston-upon-Thames with train connections from London, Wimbledon and Guildford.
