Great Fosters is an endlessly charming Tudor estate steeped in royal history and located just outside Windsor in the heart of Surrey, yet only a 15 minute drive from London Heathrow.

Set in 50 acres of stunning gardens and grounds, which include a listed topiary garden, fountain, Saxon moat with romantic Japanese bridge and even a sundial gifted to the Estate by Sir Francis Drake himself, the instantly recognisable red-brick facade and chimney tops are a sight to behold as you drive down to the front door.  We won’t spoil the surprise but it’s a very special front door!

Inside, you will find a chocolate-box selection of 43 individually designed bedrooms and suites, including the famed historic suites and two acclaimed restaurants. The Tudor Pass restaurant offers innovative tasting menus from Wednesday to Saturday whilst The Estate Grill is a more informal 2-AA rosette awarded restaurant  for delicious every day dining seven days a week.

Along the eastern side of the hotel you will find stunning terraces, intimate gardens and nooks & crannies, which come alive in the summer months.  They are perfect for enjoying breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or supper al fresco.  Afternoon tea at Great Fosters is definitely an occasion not to be missed; the seasonally changing array of fancies are scrumptious and served alongside warm, freshly made scones and an exquisite sandwich selection.

The bedrooms are spread across four buildings - The Main House, which dates from 1550 features a selection of beautiful historic suites and bedrooms, whilst The Cloisters and The Coach House, a short walk across a courtyard offer a tempting array of more contemporary suites and rooms.  The newly restored Dower House features 2 historic suites, 2 splendid suites and 3 luxury king bedrooms , all rich in original details bearing the patina of time, juxtaposed with the hotel’s signature fabrics and furnishings.

Last but certainly not least, the estate also boasts a superb art-deco heated outdoor pool, perfect for a cooling dip in the English summertime.
