Discover Surrey's fabulous tipples while touring our county's pubs, restaurants and farm shops or go direct for a tour and tasting at where the local wine, beer, gin and more is produced. 

The Surrey Hills wine route
Champagne-like chalk soils, sheltered Surrey Hills countryside and, in a good year, plenty of sunshine have helped Surrey vineyards to lead the way in English wines. In fact, the vineyards that form Vineyards of the Surrey Hills are rapidly making Surrey a capital of wine production in Britain. 

• Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking is one of England’s largest vineyards and situated among the lush green hills of the North Downs near Dorking; 
• Albury Organic Vineyard is an award-winning vineyard located next to the Silent Pool beauty spot near Guildford; 
• Greyfriars Vineyard is situated on the south facing chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back - it is just a few miles to the west of Guildford off the A31 to Farnham; 
• High Clandon Estate Vineyard specialises in singular, matured, vintage-only English sparkling cuvées for which they are renowned for Gold Medal awards;
• And Chilworth Manor Vineyard and its Watch House tasting barn is found in the shadow of St Martha's Hill near Guildford.
• More recently, Soloms Court near Kingswood and Tanhurst Estate near Leith Hill have joined the group. 

Search for real ale and craft beer in Surrey
If real ale and craft beer are more your thing, then why not visit Dorking Brewery in Capel or one of their excellent pubs (The Dolphin in Betchworth, The Old House in Dorking and The Brewery Inn in Ashtead)? The famous Hogs Back Brewery, meanwhile, is known as Surrey's largest independent brewery and is found in Tongham near Farnham. Born from Ascot Brewing Company, Camberley’s Disruption is Brewing produce exciting, full-flavoured and forward-thinking beers.

And then there's the gin! 
Surrey's most famous distillery, Silent Pool Distillers, is the rural home of Silent Pool Gin and their handcrafted distilled spirits. Visit The Silent Pool Distillery for tours, events, distillery shop and the Pool Bar.
